LIBRARY DAY – EASY 10 POINTS!
- I WILL BE WATCHING WITH EAGLE EYES – excellent students could earn several polar points.
- Walk quietly to and from the library.
- Stay serious at all times.
- Pay attention while Mrs. Navarre is teaching the lesson and be on your best behavior. Do not blurt answers. Raise your hand and WAIT if she asks questions.
- Library conversations should be whisper level.
- Choose a good fit book that is not too hard or too easy for you. The book should be close to your LEXILE level.
- After you check out a book, find a place to read then READ.
- You must take ONE genre bookmark and keep it until the very end of seventh grade.
- I will be randomly testing students to ask them to read to me or to ask them questions to see if they are really reading.
- When we get back to class … GET COMFORTABLE … you may take off your shoes, but you don’t have to. Read silently for 5 minutes.
FIRST HOUR HW:
You must NEATLY write the matching words next to each other on loose leaf.
