Today in class, we will begin the hour by discussing the Battle of Thermopylae. We will then begin our Persian War Battle Project!

Good Morning!

*I changed the date of the Flocabulary being completed from yesterday to TODAY. Grades for flocabulary, Chapter 3 word wall, Geoskills 3.3 Worksheet, and Chapter 28.2 worksheet will all be in the gradebook today and it will be up to date.*

Today in class, we will begin the hour by reviewing the GS 3.3 Worksheet. We will then discuss the Battle of Marathon on double sided Cornell Notes,Ch28DblsidedCnotes (1) Ch28DblsidedCnotes (2) followed by working on a summary of the Battle, which will either be done on a folded piece of paper, or through I-learn.

We will be writing this on I-learn/folded piece of paper.

As a reminder, tomorrow’s test which is 35 questions and will be taken on I-learn. There will be 12 matching questions with the vocabulary words, the rest will be multiple choice and followed by a 5 sentence paragraph on the Chapter 27 Essential Question of “What were some major differences between Athens and Sparta”

Today in class, we will continue to write our paper, followed by checking our Chapter 27 Study Guide!

I will be also show students how to submit the paper through I-Learn. It is due on Monday. Students, if you want, you may share your paper with me and I can check it over for grammar errors. Once I get back to you on it, please fix the errors and you’re more than welcome to turn the assignment in online.

Good Morning!

As a reminder, today is Sparta day, which means if students are on TIME and not TARDY for all 6 of their classes today, they will receive extra credit on the Chapter 27 Test. This is to show them that the Spartan soldiers valued discipline. This is also the only time, that I say Go Green.

Today in class, we will begin the hour by getting our Chapter 27 study guide. Chapter 27 Study Guide (1) We will be checking it on Wednesday, and the test will be taken on I-learn on Thursday. It is worth 35 points, 12 matching vocabulary, multiple choice and answering the essential question of, “What were some major differences between Athens and Sparta? We will then review the education and treatment of Women & Slaves in Athens and Sparta  (page 5 of the Chapter 27 Packet)!
