Tomorrow’s Quiz: Section 1.2
Here is the following I can statements that you need to focus on:
- I can find the domain of a function algebraically without graphing
- I can find the max , min of a graph.
- I can find the increasing and decreasing intervals of a function given its graph
- I can identify a function as continuous or not continuous
- I can find holes, vertical asymptotes and horizontal asymptotes of a function given its equation
Today’s Class Wednesday 10/04
- Bellwork SAT problems BW Wed 10-04
- We reviewed homework p95#55-62 problems by picking volunteers who gave their suggested answers (see pdf for answers)
- We talked about increasing, decreasing intervals, max and min and applied those definitions to practice problems that you did in your groups (p95#25-28)
- Section 1.2 completed notes_Wed 10-04
- Homework P95 #41-46 Sketch the graph next to each equation. Label max/min. Write increasing/Decreasing Interval.
Today’s Class: Tuesday 10/03
- Bellwork (see pic below)
- We practiced more how to find vertical asymptotes and holes using some practice problems
- We learned how to find the horizontal asymptote from the equation using the degree of the polynomials on Numerator and Denominator, and here are the notes.Section 1.2 completed notes_Tue 10-03
- Homework p95#55 through 62 and page 96 #63 through 66
Today’s Class: Monday 10/02/2017
- Bell work week 5 Precalc We worked on the following 2 SAT questions. The answer for the first question was B and for the second one it was A. Those 2 questions are direct application of special cases (just the first 3 of the following image see below)
- As of content , we finished section 1.2 by talking about vertical Asymptotes and holes and defining them and here are the notes Section 1.2 day 3
