Daily Schedule

Below you will find a sample schedule. Establishing a routine with your

child will make this transition from school to home a little easier.

All students are familiar with a daily school routine, and this will help at home!

Time	Activity
9:00-10:00 Wake up!	Eat breakfast! Pick up your free breakfast at the school. Help set up the table and make breakfast!
10:00-11:00 Reading	Read books from your book bag! Tell your parents about your book: the beginning, the middle and the end. Go on the websites listed below to listen to read alouds with your family! Discuss Story Elements:   Characters, Setting, Problem, Solution
Art Time	Draw with Great Artist MomMs. Sabourin’s Art Blog
11:00-12:00 Writing	Write about your favorite story! Below you will find different topics to write about in a journal!Remember to capitalize the first letter in a sentence and end with punctuation!
Library/Media	Listen to a Story at Storyline OnlineMrs. Kinnaird’s Library Blog
12:00-1:00 Lunch	Help your parents make lunch and do some exercise/brain breaks! Pick up your free lunch at the school. Go Noodle! -or- Go Play Outside!
1:00-1:15 Music Time	Singalong with Emily ArrowMrs. Scannell’s Music BlogMs. Adkins’ Music Blog
1:15-2:00 Math	Use Zearn and finish module 4 of your packet! Do some addition and subtraction math facts!
2:00-2:30 Social Studies	Read Myself & Others and discuss with family.Make a map of your bedroom and create a key!Make a map of your house!
Physical Education	Mrs. Logsdon’s Physical Education Blog
2:30-3:00 Science	Complete a MysteryScience lesson!           Write the title of the lesson and 1 fact that you learned today! Draw a picture if you like.
3:00 Snack/Rest time	Eat a snack and relax!

Writing *Choose a different topic each day to write in your journal!	Narrative writing topics: Write a story about your best friend.  What is he or she like? What are his or her favorite toys? Write about the best vacation you ever had.  Why was it so special? Write about a time when you went to a special party.  What did you do there? Write about your favorite thing to do.  Why do you like it?Write about an animal that lives in your neighborhood (your pet, a neighbor’s pet, or a squirrel or bird who hangs out in your tree).  What does the animal like to do? Write about a time when you went to the park.  What did you do? Who did you go with? Write about a time when you got to stay up late.  What did you do with the extra time?
