Lowrey Locker Belonging Pick Up on Monday June 1st- see info below:

Lowrey Locker Belonging Pick Up on Monday June 1st- see info below:

Lowrey Staff Members spent yesterday in the building cleaning out their FIRST HOUR student lockers. Any lockers that had student belongings were emptied into a large plastic bag and labeled with the student name and the name of their FIRST HOUR teacher(s).

On MONDAY June 1, 2020- we are asking students to come and pick up the belongings from their lockers. Staff members will be there to help students/family members to pick up their items.

6th graders are asked to arrive at Lowrey anytime between 10am and 12pm on MONDAY 6-1-20. 6th graders should go to the Bingham block at the back of the school.  Bags will be brought out and teachers will station themselves along the block as to not congest one area, and maintain social distancing.

We are also asking if you have any Lowrey textbooks, library books or classroom library books at home, to PLEASE bring them to return as well on Monday.

When you arrive at the school- please find your FIRST HOUR TEACHER’s station on the sidewalk- and use the number given to them by the first hour teacher.

MY FIRST HOUR CLASS- please see the list below for your Pick Up Number. Knowing your first hour teacher’s name and your Pick Up Number will help the distribution flow more smoothly. Please be responsible and accountable and use this week wisely. Get caught up!!!!

We will have a quick BIG BLUE BUTTON meeting tomorrow WED 5/27 at regularly scheduled times. Please see the top of my ILearn Page for your class time and link.

Monday 5-18-20

Monday 5-18-20

We had a Big Blue Button Meeting today- and many students did not attend the meeting. It is important that you stay motivated until the end of the school year. Students can earn 20 points for attending each meeting and participating in the discussions we have. Please make the effort to be there every Monday and Wednesday at the designated time for your class.

The picture above shows the new assignments on iLearn for this week. We have a short week, so I’m keeping things reasonable and simple.

One of the assignments are 6 new Author’s Purpose IXL skills- I put a reminder page on iLearn to help you keep all of the assignments in one place. You have two weeks to finish these 6 skills- they are due 5/31/20.

You also have a Maria % CER Activity. We discussed this during the BBB session today. Make sure to read the directions. Only input NUMBERS into the boxes for the characters in the assignment- nothing else. If you have any questions email me, or reach out to a friend that was in the BBB session to possibly explain.

I will be discussing the Maria CER at Wednesday’s BBB Meeting. I would prefer that you wait until we discuss, but the assignment is open if you are confident and want to get started. Maybe start- but wait to submit your CER paragraph until after the meeting.

PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. I AM HERE TO SUPPORT YOU AND HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL.

New video lesson and assignment posted on iLearn today. Please watch the video lesson before starting the new assignment called “Maria’s Suspension”.

If you did the CATCH UP assignments last week, I have been grading and posting since Monday morning, I will hopefully finish the last of the grading today, and have all of the CATCH UP assignments in the gradebook by tonight.

43 STUDENTS DID NOT TAKE the Nadia the Willful OPEN BOOK Test last week. I sent several Remind Messages, I talked about the test in my Video Lessons, and also reminded you to take the test on this blog. Your grade is most likely an E in the gradebook if you did not take the test.

I will re-open the test again THIS FRIDAY 5/15/20 at 8am. It will stay open until Sunday 5/17/20 at 11:59pm. This is the ABSOLUTE LAST CHANCE for students to receive credit for this ASSESSMENT.

The test needs to be completed this week between Wednesday morning and Sunday 5/10 at 11:59pm. This is an OPEN BOOK Test- use the text and other activities we have done for this story to help you! I HIGHLY SUGGEST listening to the story on my blog or iLearn again before taking the test. I also HIGHLY SUGGEST doing any missing assignments available for NTW before you attempt the test.

This week will be CATCH UP WEEK- See iLearn for several assignments that have been opened up with an EXTENDED due date. The LAST CHANCE for credit for these assignments is Sunday 5/10 by 11:59pm. Make sure to check your Student Connect to see grades. If you do not have a grade for the extended assignments- make sure to take advantage- this is the last opportunity to earn credit.
