In art, we used paper to mimic the layers of fabric found in Mola textiles in Panama. A mola is a shirt, usually for women, with decorations and pattern inspired by the flora and fauna of Panama. The designs are always balanced, and often symmetrical. We chose and designed an animal of personal interest and created vibrant and balanced molas of our own! Great work 4th grade!

1st Grade Art – Incredibly creative “Imaginary Friends” artworks!
In art, first grade read Beekle and the Unimaginary Friend, a story about an imaginary friend taking charge and traveling to the real world to find his real child friend! Students brainstormed together who their imaginary friend could be and how we could draw and design them. We made some wonderful and wacky creations :).
5th Grade Art – Finishing up some magnificent mosaics!
In art, we painted paper in tints and shades of color to create variety and contrast. Then, students cut papers into small pieces and assembled artworks “inspired by nature” into a design of their choosing. It took some patience and perseverance, but they created some excellent artworks! Great job 5th grade!
