Second and third graders have been studying origami paper sculptures, applying their math skills and using tools to create a dart and a glider. After much folding practice, the kids were excited to get a chance to fly them in the hall. Each student recorded data on their tables planes. Next week we will be graphing the results in attempts to determine which plane style flies the farthest.
The third graders will have the additional opportunity to fly their planes in the gym where the ceiling height and open spaces will allow for greater distances to be recorded.
