Using one of the districts Thinking Maps, specifically a Flow Map. The students are planning out their own pop-up book. We have been focusing on how to show more with their pictures than relying solely on their words. We began sketching our characters in a setting appropriate to their story, and are working on creating a pop-up sequence of scenes for the beginning, middle and end of their stories. We will assemble the scenes in a hard cover book bound using a linen spine. It will have a ribbon tied closure.
