We have a half day on Friday, so dismissal will be at 11:45. There will also be a PTA meeting at 9 am in the cafeteria.
This week we are collecting $3 for a Miller t-shirt. Please turn in your order by Friday. Here is our schedule for the week:
Math: We will continue to solve multiplication and division problems using the distributive property to solve two step word problems. We will probably we ready for a test next week sometime.
Science: We will start investigation 2 in physical science. Students will investigate patterns of motion by constructing wheel and axle systems. They will get to experience the engineering design process.
Social Studies: We will learn about human/environment interactions and how people impact the environment.
Reading: We are focusing on informational text again this week, specifically using context clues to solve for unknown words.
Writing: We will continue revising our narrative stories by focusing on specific word choice and transitions.

Here is our focus for this week.
Math: We are working on multiplication and division with the distributive property using tape diagrams and number bonds.
Science: We will have our first science test on Friday. Students will be coming home with their study guide soon. I will be posting the study guide with answers so that you can review it with them before Friday. This will be an online test.
Reading: Our focus will be on informational text. This week we will be focusing on how to ask and answer questions.
Writing: We are learning how to craft narrative stories. We will focus on leads, transitions, and use of details in our writing.
