Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Read more…

Students need to READ and use post-its to practice paraphrasing using the footnotes and text aids, characterization, and mark any lit. devices for the next “chunk” of sc.ii on pgs. 831-33 by Friday!  Students will use these post-its to complete class work on Friday.

sc.iii– pgs 833-837 need to be done by Monday.  There will be a quiz on Act I and Vocabulary 4 words.  If you lost your paper, please look back at Monday’s post and get the words again to study.

We read Act I, sci in class pgs. 822-24 to get the gist of the conflict in the exposition as well as literary devices used (setting: time place, mood and conflict type, allusion, anachronism, metaphor, pun).

Students need to READ and use post-its to practice paraphrasing using the footnotes and text aids, characterization, and mark any lit. devices for the next “chunk” of sc.ii on pgs. 825-30 by THURSDAY!  Students will use these post-its to complete class work on Thrursday and continue on in the play.

AOW #4 due Monday!

Bring your exam review sheet  on Monday so we can clear up any confusion.

Tuesday is the test, so bring a #2 pencil.

HONORS–Groups will get the project assignment on Monday as well as assigned themes.  The computer laptop cart will be in my room through Thursday to work on creation of Google slides for the presentation.  All presentations are due by Friday–10-28-16.  You will need to print a hand out version of your slides from home (4 per page).

Read the first chunk (pgs. 1031-1036) of “Arthur Becomes King of Britain” and complete the story analysis sheet on SIDE 1 and through the stage of Crossing the Threshold for Wednesday. You will finish reading the story on Wednesday and the sheet is due Thursday. Make sure you have your textbook the rest of the week as we will be wrapping up the unit with another piece on King Arthur.
