Thank you to all my second grade friends and parents who shared such kind words and thoughts during teacher appreciation week. You truly warmed my heart and I appreciate all of you and all your hard work!

Friendly Reminders For This Week:

There will be Student Resource and Belonging Pick up days this week Thursday May14th and Friday May 15th from 1:00-3:00 pm. Please come to pick up students resources and belongings that were left in their lockers and desks. A grade level representative will be on site to hand you your students resources and belongings that were placed in bags and labeled with their name, teacher’s name, and grade. Grade 2 will pick up using the Silvery Lane drop off lane. If possible, please bring back students’ book bags with any reading group books or library books that they may still have in them so they may be returned to the book room and library before the end of the school year. Your help is greatly appreciated! See Mr. Short’s letter to the community for more details.

Spelling Words Week 31: Pattern: Irregular Plural nouns

List Words: woman, women, goose, geese, mouse, mice, man, men, foot, feet

Mystery Words: leaf, leaves, elf, elves, shelf

Please do the two activities on the assignment chart. Send me the score or test on Friday. (15 words)

Please look at the chart below for this week’s lessons. All the lessons that I give you will be monitored throughout the week online by Miss Strzykalski.

By the end of the week, you should have completed the following assignments to receive a meeting grade for the week. Any other written notes do not need to be turned in.

1. 75 minutes of I Ready (I will monitor online)
2. 3 Zearn Lessons (I will monitor on line)
3. Reading 15 minutes a day on Epic, which can include videos and the 4 books assigned for science or social studies located on the Epic site. They are found in the students mailbox at the top of the home page on Epic. ( I will monitor the books and time online.)
4. A spelling test score (send score via email)
5. Writing- An informational paper-The Lifecycle of a Butterfly (send via email)
6. Social Studies-Ox Cart Man questions (Friday’s lesson, send via email)
