Week 2 of At-Home Learning
Hello, dear ones! Well, we are one week down of our time apart from each other. I know we can do this! Just a reminder, every day you should be doing Math, Reading, and Writing. Everything else I send to you is optional or a choice.
Below are your assignments that need to be finished by next Monday, March 30.
Reading:
- Must Do:
- Choose 1 from Below every Day
| Real Books | RAZ Kids |
| Read a book from your book bag, a library book, or a book from home for 30 minutes. Write a 4-5 sentence summary about what you read. You can write it in your Reading Notebook or a blank piece of paper. | Listen, read independently, and take the quiz at the end of some books this week. You should work on this for 30 minutes a day. |
- If you want:
- Watch one of the YouTube Read Alouds that I posted on Google Classroom each day. Write a comment about the story below the video.
- RAZ Kids:
Username: first and last name
Password: birthdate
- IXL
- username: first and last name followed by 303
For example: areegeshakarchi303
- Password: your birthdate
for example: 02052011
Math:
- Must Do:
- Spend 20-30 minutes on Zearn every day (By Friday, March 27th you should be done with Module 4, Lesson 16. If you are already passed this lesson, then keep moving forward)
- If you want:
- IXL
- Assignment- There will be another assignment on Google Classroom to complete.
- Take Quiz- Module 4, Topic D. It will be posted to Google Classroom soon.
Writing
- Must Do:
- Write for 20 minutes each day. You may write in your Draft Book if you got it from school or another notebook you have at home. (You will be turning these in upon return to school.)
- If you want:
- If you’d rather type it into Google Docs, you may. I will set some up in Google Classroom.
- You can free write OR choose from the prompts below.
- Monday- Who is the funniest person in your family? Why?
- Tuesday- Have you ever accidentally hurt someone’s feelings? How did you feel?
- Wednesday- Would you rather fly to outer space or swim to the depths of the ocean? Why?
- Thursday- What is the best part about staying home during this time? What is the worst part about staying home?
- Friday- If you could be any book or TV character, who would you choose to be?
