The remainder of the period we finished discussing Sec 6-4 by covering the topic of factoring the sum and difference of perfect cubes. Students then used this skill to solve polynomial equations that can be factored using the sum and difference of perfect cube formulas.

We took this opportunity to give the remaining juniors a chance to practice SAT style math questions. We took time to go over possible ways to solve each of these questions. We then went over Hwk #27 which was due today.

The remainder of the period we continued our discussion on the graphs and equations of polynomial functions. We began discussing the Absolute Maximums and Minimums and Relative Maximums and Minimums of a Polynomial Function and how to find them by graphing the function using technology (the graphing calculator).
