Bellwork reviewed problems Sec 8-5.

Students were given the Final Exam Reviews for Chapters 8 and 13.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 8-5.  We then discussed calculating interest using Simple Interest and Compound Interest.  This discussion lead to discovering the value of the number e.  Students were then shown what a Natural Logarithm is and how it can be used.

Bellwork reviewed matching exponential functions and their graphs and finding the final amount of a quantity given a percent change.

Students were given the Final Exam Review for Chapter 7.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion of Sec 8-1 by learning how to write an Exponential Growth or Decay equation to model a real-life situation and then using this equation to find missing quantities.

Bellwork had students explore the graphs of Linear, Power, and Exponential Functions.

The practice sheet from yesterday is due today for 1st hour and due on Monday for 3rd hour.

The remainder of the period we discussed the graphs of Exponential Functions and began discussing how to model real situations with and Exponential Function.
