Bellwork reviewed using the graphing calculator to find a Linear Regression equation for some data and using this equation to find some missing values. It also reviewed Domain, Range, and solving Absolute Value Inequalities.
Hwk #9 is due today.
The remainder of the period students reviewed for tomorrow’s Test.

Bellwork had students create a scatter plot from a table of data. They were to then draw a trendline and use this trendline to predict missing values then write an equation for the trendline.
The remainder of the period students learned about Linear Regression and Correlation Coefficient (Sec 2-4). Students were shown how to use technology (graphing calculator, spreadsheet software, and websites) to make a scatter plot, find the equation of the trendline, and to find the correlation coefficient.
Hwk #9 is due tomorrow.

Bellwork reviewed writing equations of lines given different pieces of information to begin with.
Hwk #8 is due today.
The remainder of the period we began our discussion on Sec 2-4, modeling data with linear functions. We started by covering the concept of Correlation and students finished the period making a scatter plot of given data using graph paper.
Hwk #9: Pages 81-83, Problems 2, 4-7, 13, 20, 23, 26bcd. (Deu Thursday 9/25)
Test #1 will be given on Friday, 9/26

Students were given the review for Test #1 Today, Monday, Sept. 22. They will receive the answers to the review on Tues. Sept 23. The date of the exam is still to be determined but will probably be later this week, Thursday or Friday. Students will be notified of the date when it is determined.

Bellwork reviewed Composite Functions and Linear Equations.
Hwk #7 will be due Monday to give students more time to understand and finish the assignment.
The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Composite Functions (Sec 7-6). We then began discussing Sec 2-2, Linear Functions.
Hwk #8 Page 68, Problems 28, 38-41 (do not graph 38-41), 57, 58, 61. This will be due on Tuesday, September 23.
