Bellwork had students write the equations of quadratics in Vertex Form given the Vertex and another point on the graph. Students also practiced taking a generic graph and transform it using the values shown in the function rule. For example: y = 2f(x-3)+2 means to move the graph 3 units right, 2 units up, and make it twice as tall.
The remainder of the period we began discussing Sec 5-4, factoring quadratics.

4th & 5th Hours:
Bellwork had students practice using the graphing calculator to make scatter plots and find regression equations. Students also practiced graphing piecewise functions on the graphing calculator.
Hwk #13 is due today.
