Bellwork reviewed graphing two lines to find the solution to a system of linear equtions and to find when two companies charge the same amount for phone service by writing an equation for each company’s charges.

Hwk #13 is due today.

The remainder of the period we discussed Sec 7-1, Solving Systems of Linear Equations by graphing and finding the number of solutions without graphing.

We then began discussing Sec 7-2, Solving a System of Linear Equations using Substitution.

Class periods were shortened today due to all students testing in the morning (MME, PLAN, EXPLORE).

Students practice graphing lines from the given equations:

  • Slope-Intercept Form
  • Point-Slope Form
  • Standard Form
  • Horizontal Lines
  • Vertical Lines

We then continued discussing Parallel Lines from Sec 6-5.

Hwk #10 is due tomorrow.
