Spring Break Ideas: Things to Do with the Kids - Everything ...

TGIF!!! We have made it friends!!!! Next week is SPRING BREAK, enjoy this break with your family.   I encourage you to play games together, go for a hike at a MetroPark, do a puzzle, make an art project or birdhouse, or get really creative a make a sandbox in a baby pool, but please enjoy the time with family and be safe.  Take a break from the school work and get energized to come back ready to work on Monday, April 13th to remote learning. The governor announced yesterday that schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year, which is heart breaking news but your Oakman family and Kindergarten team are working to ensure that we remain in close contact for emotional and social support while creating engaging and purposeful learning activities that ensure ALL students will be ready for 1st grade in the fall.

Spring Break begins Monday, April 6: There will not be daily assignments posted; however, we will still give some strong recommendations of fun non screen learning activities at the end of each daily post as well as online programs (RAZ KIDS, ZEARN, and CLEVER Resources).  Also, work on your list of 50 sight words— students will be “tested” via video the week we get back from break!!!

It’s Virtual spirit week this week!!    Today is have fun outside!!! send your picture to Mr. Abu-Rus, Mrs. Chehab, or Mrs. Dakhla

NOW MORE THAN EVER AS WE KNOW REMOTE LEARNING WILL CONTINUE- WHAT IS WORKING/NOT WORKING FOR YOU, YOUR CHILD, AND YOUR FAMILY, LET US KNOW!! ****Parents please feel free to give us feedback through the REMIND APP of what is working for you with working with your child at home.  We hope to make all of the enrichment learning opportunities we are providing a way for you to bond with your child during this time at home as well as continue to learn and review kindergarten academic content standards. If you have any suggestions or concerns about our at-home enrichment learning plan, please let us know.  You can contact teachers through the remind APP or through www.remind.com as well as our email: rawsonm@dearbornschools.org and fowlers@dearbornschools.org

BIG THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!! Our kindergarten team has been so successful this year in large part because of the family participation and we will continue to have success because parents and teachers are a TEAM and working together to meet the needs of our students and children.

ROAR Announcements for today!!

Please watch with your family and make sure to stand up TALL for the Pledge of Allegiance and our Oakman Pledge!!

We continue to express great gratitude to how our families have come together to help and support each other.  Now more than ever teachers, parents, and our Oakman family must work together to support each other in so many ways.  We hope that the lessons, activities, and resources we are providing are allowing for some structure and routine to your households.  Structure and routine help provide a safe feeling for young children.
