Online Learning!

Good Morning, I am going to try my best and hope that everyone else is able to help out during this event. I will be posting information online through my blog and continue to reach out through dojo. I will set up weekly schedules with writing/typing assignments to turn in online. I am looking into an online worksheet, but am not sure if everyone will be able to use it. Click on this sheet to view the weekly work assignments and homework. The sheet has many active links making it easy to get to the correct assignment and lesson google slide when needed. Math has been planned for the week, I will try to upload more of the ready common core worksheets as possible scan. Please be patient with me as we all work together in this new experience.

March 13

Please be Advised

All Dearborn Public Schools will be closed for students effective immediately, March 13, 2020. This is a result of Governor Whitmer’s order to close all K-12 school buildings, public, private, and boarding, starting Monday, March 16 until Sunday, April 5.

Dearborn Public Schools spring break will take place from Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10. Students will return to school on Monday, April 13, 2020.

Students may report on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the normal start time to only pick up their belongings and school supplies.

All staff should report on Friday, March 13, 2020 to assist students. Staff will only attend for the morning half of the day followed by a half day release time.

All staff should continue to check their email daily for updates and information.

As of Thursday, 3-12-2020 there are no reported or confirmed cases of COVID 19 in the Dearborn Public Schools.

This closure of schools is part of a nationwide effort to slow the spread of the COVID 19 virus. These actions will not eliminate the COVID 19 virus, cure COVID 19,  and this will not guarantee that a person will not contract the COVID virus at a later time. Again, these actions are part of a nationwide effort to slow the spread and limit the number of people who will become infected.

Thank you

Geer Park has received the D-Shines grant. As part of this grant our students will learn about nutrition and health. We are asking that parents complete a survey as part of our program. The survey is designed to gather physical activity and nutrition information as well as thoughts about the program from the community. This link to the survey is below. Thank you for participating.
