I encourage you to play games together, go for a hike at a MetroPark, do a puzzle, make an art project or birdhouse, or get really creative a make a sandbox in a baby pool, but please enjoy the time with family and be safe. Take a break from the school work and get energized to come back ready to work on Monday, April 13th to remote learning. The governor announced yesterday that schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year, which is heart breaking news but your Oakman family and Kindergarten team are working to ensure that we remain in close contact for emotional and social support while creating engaging and purposeful learning activities that ensure ALL students will be ready for 1st grade in the fall.
Spring Break begins Monday, April 6: There will not be daily assignments posted; however, we will still give some strong recommendations of fun non screen learning activities at the end of each daily post as well as online programs (RAZ KIDS, ZEARN, and CLEVER Resources). Also, work on your list of 50 sight words— students will be “tested” via video the week we get back from break!!!
