Read at least one informational book on kids a-z and answer the questions. On a separate sheet of paper write the main idea and three details to support the main idea.  

Main Idea=What is the story mostly about.

Math:

Complete Lesson 3 in our google classroom. Watch the video and complete the exit ticket.

Spelling:
Write your spelling words as a pyramid.  Remember to sound out the words when you are writing. 

Math:
Complete one Zearn lesson.  

Solve the following word problem with a picture, number sentence, and a statement with your answer:

Beth has 13 flowers in her garden.  Kate has 8. How many more flowers does Beth have then Kate?

Writing:

What is your favorite movie? Write your review of the movie and why you think people should watch it.

Spelling:

Pick at least four spelling words and write a sentence for each word.  Include an adjective in each sentence. An adjective is a describing word like: gray, smelly, beautiful, that you use before a noun. beautiful flower, gray sky, smelly socks

Reading:

Read at least one book on Kids a-z (narrative if possible) and answer the questions.

On a separate sheet of paper write your connection.  Give at least 2 details.

Connection=What does the book make you think about.  Something that happened to you or happened in another book.

Writing: 

Which is better, winter or summer? Write about the reasons why you think winter or summer is better.

Math:

Math will be explained in class today at 2:30.

Have a parent give you the spelling test on a separate sheet of paper.  How did you do?

Reading:
Read at least one narrative (fiction) book on Kids a-z and answer the questions.  On a separate sheet of paper retell the story in your own words.

Math:
Complete at least one Zearn lesson. 

Writing:

Design a t-shirt that you would like to wear.  Draw a sketch of your shirt first. Then write at least 5 sentences to describe it.  What colors are on it, any pictures or words?







Sight Words:
Practice your sight word flashcards with someone.  Put the words that were a bit slower in a separate pile and practice them again.

Write your spelling words with sidewalk chalk, crayons or markers.  Make it fun.

Anton made a tower of 5 cubes.  Ben made a tower of 12 cubes. Who has more?  How many more?

Writing:

Write about your favorite part of the school day. Give at least 2 reasons.

Science:
Click on the link and watch the mystery science video.  If you cannot get the link to work, highlight it and put it in a new tab. There is an experiment and questions. The experiment has you print out two pages.  If you do not have a printer, use a toy and a blank piece of paper. Write the answers to the questions on a piece of paper.
