Well we’re finally here! Our 1st big exam of the semester was today covering our unit on World Religions. Almost all of our students left feeling good about their exam. Scores will be posted Monday afternoon and I’m excited to see the results.

Here’s today’s agenda-

  • Daily Objective-

o       Content Objective: SWD application of knowledge by classifying and describing the information covered in our unit on World Religions through the use of a unit exam that aligns with the new Common Core State Standards.

o       Language Objective: Students will read and record the answers to content area questions pertaining to the materials covered in our unit on World Religions by using a Multiple-Choice and Matching exam

Tomorrow is our 1st big quiz! We covered day two of Islam which wraps up our unit covering World Religions.

Here’s what we have going on in World History today:

§         Students will write key information on the origins of Islam and the impact of the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings on the Arabian peninsula through the use of guided notes

Only a few more days until our 1st big quiz! Here’s what we have going on in World History today:

  • Lecture-Chapter 6 Section 3-Origins of Christianity
  • Study Guide- World Religions
  • Daily Objective-

o        Content Objective:

§         Students will demonstrate synthesis of the ministry of Jesus Christ and the impact of Christianity on western culture by using guided notes and class discussions.

§         Students will demonstrate comprehension of the materials covered in our unit covering World Religions through the use of a review activity

o        Language Objective:

§         Students will complete guided notes to help demonstrate their understanding of the impact of Christianity on western culture. Following our lesion we will orally discuss the evolution of Christianity and the effects of western civilizations. 

§         Students will read, and write the key terms and important concepts covered in our unit on World Religions. Students will demonstrate their understanding by completing a structured study guide and following along with an in class review.
