Card-marking 4

The online assignments will be added to card-marking 4, this will help to hold students accountable and to further communicate with parents and students. The district will send out a directive explaining how these assignments will be counted and how they will affect the students grades/credit this month.

Missing assignments (card-marking 3)

All missing or incomplete assignments for card-marking 3, may still be turned in. All assignments must be turned in by Friday (3/27) at 3:00 pm.

Invention Convention

Step 5 rough draft will be due April 3rd, all of your invention convention steps should be typed and ready for the final. Your final version is due April 27th. You will need to create a google doc and follow the outline below. It should look something like this;

Title (Step 1): Turn your question into your title. Research(Step 2): Your typing out your summary paragraph.  Hypothesis(Step 3): You are typing your hypothesis. Procedure and data (Step 4): You are typing your procedure and creating your data tables and graphs. (include your variables) Analysis and Conclusion(Step 5): You should analyze your data in a paragraph and have a conclusion sentence stating whether or not your invention solved your problem. You should also have a picture of your invention. (if you are having trouble completing step 5 email me)

I will review your steps and give you feedback through ilearn. Complete all parts on a google doc and upload it on ilearn. If you are not caught up on your invention convention you will need to email me each step for approval. Students please remember that Step 4 of Invention Convention was due in the second card-marking, so you have had plenty of time (if you turned yours steps in on time) to get your materials, built and test your invention before school closed due to COVID-19. If you are having issues with getting materials, email me and we will take care of it.

After you have submitted the rough draft on April 3rd. I will take the next few weeks giving you feedback. If something needs to be fixed I will return the assignment to you through ilearn. You will need to fix the assignment and resubmit. The final draft (which will be the same document) will be due on April 27th.

Due date April 3rd (rough draft)

Due date April 27th (final draft)
