Reading
We will review text types: storybooks, fiction/nonfiction, poetry. We will practice retelling the story in sequence. We will ask and answer questions. We will discuss the cause and effect. We will visualize a story. We will make self to text connections to read alouds

Language Arts
We are learning three letter s-blends (str-, scr-). Sight words: some, from, so. We will review nouns, verbs and adjectives. We will review antonyms, syllables, magic/bossy e and endings in a word (suffixes- ing, -ed,-er, -s, -y). We will practice fixing sentences (capitalization, punctuation).
Writing
We will be writing an informational piece about frogs. We will write a descriptive piece and include its lifecycle.
Math
We will answer how many within a group of 20. We will build a rekenrek. We will practice counting in an array, linear and circular configuration.
Science.
We will learn about the lifecycle of a frog. It include: egg, tadpole, tadpole with legs, froglet, adult frog.
Social Studies
We will discuss ways for saving the earth and how to reuse materials in classroom.

*Field trip to Greenfield Village on May 16th
*Howard is having a clean up parade on May 20th at 9:45-10:45
*We need empty paper towel rolls for a project for our clean up parade.
