ATTENDANCE

• Students must demonstrate weekly active engagement in the class. Students are expected to:
  • Attend all weekly Google Hangout sessions (class video chat). Our first one is THIS WEEK.
  • Complete all assignments. 
• The current semester will continue until:
  • June 11th for grades 9-11.
  • May 21st, 2020 for seniors.

ASSIGNMENTS

• New art assignment will be posted every Monday, and will be due by the end of that week.
• Assignments for Drawing & Painting class will be delivered through:
  • iBlog
  • ilearn
  • Google Hangouts
• Google Hangouts (group video chat) will help us:
  • Continue as a class group
  • ensure student attendance and engagement
  • reinforce learning
  • answer questions
• Email and the Remind App will help us communicate throughout each week.
• ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE HANDED IN in ilearn.

GRADING

• Google Hangout sessions (weekly) will be given a 1 or 0 point value (attended/not attended).
• Class assignments will be assessed using Standard-based grading (4 point scale).
  • Art content will be assessed based on MASTERY and PROFICIENCY.
• END OF SEMESTER GRADE: Based on the newly approved Dearborn Public Schools Continuity of Learning Plan, high school teachers are allowed to give one of these three final grades in a class: A, G, N. Final Class Grades will be based on the following:
  • A : 3 points or higher average in the class. This means that you will get credit for this class and the A will be averaged into your GPA.
  • G : 1 point to 2.99 points average in the class. G means you will get credit for this class but your grade will not be averaged into your GPA.
  • N : less than 1 point average in the class. N means you will get NO CREDIT for this class this semester.

It is so nice to read all of your comments! I miss you all and hope everyone is healthy. Tomorrow morning I will have individual assignments for each class to follow. If you know of anyone that doesn’t have access to a computer, please have them go to school Thursday and Friday 10-1. Chromebooks will be loaned to out to those in need.
