I hope everyone had a wonderful LONG weekend!

Tomorrow, I will be sending home June calendars. Friday is popcorn Day! Send your child with $1!

Homework tonight is to enjoy this wonderful, warm weather!

Thursday is our field trip!

*Bring colored schedule paper! (Will be given out tomorrow, Wednesday 5/24)

*Meet on playground at 9:05 am

*Bring a disposable lunch (no place close to buy from)

*YOU are your child’s chaperone.

*They are VERY STRICT with rules (Mrs. Angela saw someone get kicked out a few weeks ago). Please make sure to be following your child around and following their rules.

Information will be sent home with your child tomorrow!

This afternoon is our color run. From 315-345 the students will follow a path and be “dusted with color”. After they are finished they will get popsicles from the PTA and go back to the preschool playground where myself and their backpacks will be! It is very important that you have them come back and I check them out. Anyone who is not picked up by 3:55 will be walked over to our dismissal doors.

Hope everyone is doing well!

• There is no school this Friday or Monday for Memorial Day. Because of these short next two weeks, our spelling test will be next Friday. Students will then have extra time to study their words. Book bags and fluency homework will also be due next Friday, June 2nd.
• Tomorrow is the color run at 3:15 out by the playground! The color washes out of most clothing, please dress accordingly. Parents are encouraged to come early and cheer on the runners. Students will not be allowed back in the building after the run.
• Our field trip is this Thursday! Detailed info will be sent home tomorrow or Wednesday.

We are very excited to welcome you into the school building for Montessori night tonight!

A few things:

*Please pick up your child by 3:55 pm still! Teachers need time to set up so we will let you in at 4:15pm from Door 18 (our office doors).

*You can mingle on the playground while you wait.

*Please try and arrive at 4:15 so that you have time to see everything you need to! (gym, art, and music will also be open). Be sure to check out the lost and found tables in the hallway outside the office too.

*Reminder if you have siblings you will need to space your time between all the rooms you need to visit. 

We can’t wait to see you after school!

• Tomorrow is the Spring Concert. It is at 1:30 in the gym, all are invited! 
• Montessori Night Monday from 4:15-5:00 pm!

Hello Families!

I hope that all our Moms had a WONDERFUL Mother’s Day!

I wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful cards, notes, and flowers from last week! It was so wonderful to read all your kind words, and now our classroom is full of color from all the flowers!

Tomorrow is our Historical Museum Field Trip. Please make sure your child is on time to school. We will be leaving around 9:30 am. Thank you to Mrs. Charara, Mrs. Farhat, and Mrs. Salmassi for chaperoning tomorrow! We appreciate you ladies SO MUCH!

Color Run permission slips are due Friday, May 19th!

We started NWEA Testing today. We will continue with NWEA Testing Wednesday and Thursday, and if needed, we will finish testing on Friday. Since we are testing this week, please make sure that your child goes to bed at an appropriate time, wakes up and has breakfast, and then gets to school on time.

I have completed almost all DRAs! Our students are doing wonderful so far!

We will not be having Spelling Tests for the rest of the school year. We will practice specific phonic skills each week and students will demonstrate their understanding of that. We will also not have any homework this week. With testing and the busy week that we are having, I want students to rest and enjoy their time at home. We will have homework again next week and the first week of June.

Next week we will be starting NWEA Testing. Please make sure that your child gets a good night’s rest, has breakfast, and is on time to school. I will also be completing DRA Testing next week. So far, our kids have been doing AMAZING on their DRA tests!

Tuesday is our field trip to the Dearborn Historical Museum. We will be leaving around 9:30 am and returning before lunch.

Wednesday is Late Start and Thursday is our Spring Concert!

Please return your child’s Color Run Permission Slip by Friday, May 19th.

It is getting closer to the end of the year, but we have many VERY busy weeks ahead of us!

I will start DRA testing tomorrow, which will continue into next week. We will also be NWEA testing next week.

It is VERY important that your child gets a good night’s rest, eats a good breakfast, and arrives on time to school each day.
