Chromebook Troubleshooting

Having trouble with your Chromebook? Try this!

If you have checked out a school Chromebook and are having issues connecting try the steps listed below.
1. Turn off the Chromebook (holding the power button is okay)

2. Turn the Chromebook back on.

3. Connect to your home WiFi.

4. You should see a screen that says “Sign in to your Chromebook”. Leave the Chromebook on this screen for 5-10 minutes.

5. Restart the Chromebook again.

2. أعد تشغيل الكمبيوتر المحمول.
3. الاتصال بشبكة واي فاي منزلك.
4. يجب أن تشاهد شاشة تقول “تسجيل الدخول إلى الكمبيوتر المحمول”. اترك الكمبيوتر المحمول على هذه الشاشة لمدة 5-10 دقائق.

Hello 4th Graders!
It is time to nominate your favorite Dearborn teacher for the 2020 Alberta Muirhead Teacher of the Year Students’ Choice Award, sponsored by the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce and presented by LaFontaine Automotive Group. The nomination deadline is Monday, March 9, 2020, at 5 p.m. Nomination forms can be found on the District website at https://dearbornschools.org. Students may nominate any new or veteran teachers whom they feel has made outstanding contributions to the teaching profession.

Studnet of the Month

Ayah is amazing to have in class.  She is insightful, thoughtful, and respectful.  She is always on time and prepared, always ready to share and contribute.  She is helpful and patient with her peers.  I appreciate the conversation she helps to generate.  She regularly makes real-world connections with the topics we discuss in class – a skill that will help her be successful in anything she chooses to pursue.  Ayah is an example to her peers and more than deserving of this recognition!

PTA Holiday Sale

The PTA will be having a Winter Wonderland Holiday Sale on Monday and Tuesday next week. I signed our students up to shop on Tuesday. The prices range from 50 cents to $5.

Parent-Teacher Conferences make up day are on Monday from 4:00- 7:00.

This week will be cold and snowy. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather.

This month’s student of the month is Mohamed Fouani! Mohamed is a very hard-working student and is always willing to participate in class. He does a great job of staying on task and completing his classwork and homework in a timely manner. Mohamed works well with others in the class and is always willing to assist those around him if they need it. Congratulations Mohamed! I am so proud of you!

  ELECTION DAY IS Tuesday, November 5th Please remember to Vote on Tuesday If you can’t make it to the polls on Tuesday, November 5th new laws allow you to vote at the City Clerk’s office before Election Day. 
  This Saturday (November 2) any registered voter can stop by the City Clerk’s Office between the hours of 7 a.m. 3 p.m ballot. The Clerk’s office is located inside the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave. 
  In addition, registered voters will still be able to request absent voter ballots in person until 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4.
