Happy Tuesday! This past week we worked hard on our letter of the week is Letter O! We explored all things letter O with handwriting, matching, and reading activities. Our story for the week was Snowmen at Night! Its a fun story about Mittens, and animals in the snow! Our Core Vocab word for the week was More! We will have our More Snow book to practice with at school and at home. Our Math focus for the month is identifying Fractions. Fractions are always a fun topic especially when we get to cut things like fruit in half! Our weekly Scholastic News article was all about Frozen Water aka Snow or Ice. We will continued to work on our 5 senses for our Science topic this month. Here is a peak into some pictures for the week!

Hello all! Happy Tuesday. I apologize for the lack of updates the past two weeks! These past two weeks were fun but busy busy. Our letter focus over the two weeks was letter M & N. We explored all the things that start with the letter M & N, practiced letter M & N words, and worked our hands hard with different handwriting activities. Our Core Word for the week was Go so we practiced with our Core Books called Go Fish! & Where Did You Go?. Our story of the past two weeks was The Mitten & The Snowy Day . The mitten is a classic story about a cold wintery day out in nature! The Snowy day is a beautifully colored story about a snowy day and friendship! The kids enjoyed both stories and are totally prepared for a Snowy Day! Our Math focus for the month is Identifying fractions. We practiced fractions with our fraction books, while also getting some hands on learning with slicing fruit in half and quarters! Our Scholastic articles was all about Martin Luther King, and Our Winter season! The kids enjoyed learning about Martin Luther King, and exploring the Winter Season. Lastly our Science for the month is the 5 senses. We talked about the different senses and how we use our senses. Enjoy the pictures from the week 🙂

Our Core Word for the week is Go so we practiced with our Core Book called Go! Go! Go!. The story of the week was The Night Before New Years. This fun story talks a lot about celebrating the new year and making new years resolutions! Our Math focus for the month is Identifying fractions. We practiced fractions with our fractions book, while also getting some hands on learning with slicing fruit in half and quarters! Our Scholastic article was also about new years so we had lots of talks about the new year and what we have to look forward to! Lastly our science for the month is the 5 senses. Hello everyone! Happy New Year and Welcome back. The last week of December was a week filled with fun Christmas/ Winter activities! Our letter focus of the week was letter K. We explored all the things that start with the letter K, practiced letter K words, and worked our hands hard with different handwriting activities. The story of the week was The Gingerbread Man. This fun story talks a lot about chasing and running as fast as you can! We tried gingerbread men cookies, after we caught them of course! Our Math focus for the month is identifying addition as putting together, and subtraction as taking from . The kids are practicing their counting skills as they count and add objects together, but also take things away! This week we also had a Christmas party and Christmas sing-along! The kids loved exploring Christmas objects and making gingerbread play dough. Here are some pictures from our week!

What a great third week of December we had. Our letter focus of the week was letter J. We explored all the things that start with the letter J, practiced letter J words, and worked our hands hard with different handwriting activities. The story of the week was The Cold Lady Who Swallowed Snow. This silly story helps us identify and talk all about some fun things we can do in the snow, Like Build a Snowman! Our Math focus for the month is identifying addition as putting together, and subtraction as taking from . The kids are practicing their counting skills as they count and add objects together, but also take things away! This week we also had the chance to explore on a field trip to Life Town! The kids had so much fun shopping, getting their nails done, and walking the therapy dogs! Enjoy all the pictures from our fun week!
