Marvelous Monday!!

**The following was sent in an email, but we also wanted you to be able to access it from the blog. Thanks!

Hi Students,

This is the final week of card marking 3.  Take a moment to look at your current grade.  Many of you are missing at least one SSR form.  Remember, each of those are worth 10 summative points.  We encourage you to get caught up on those and submit to the both of us this week (no later than Friday).  If you don’t have any missing SSR forms, then disregard this information.

We will be accepting no more than 2 SSR forms this week.  The first one can be submitted to us on Wednesday (3-25). This form will be based upon your at home reading from Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The second form we will accept can be submitted to us on Friday (3-27).  This form will be based upon your at home reading for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Be sure to follow the requirements for your SSR forms.  Let us know if you have any questions.

Stay safe and healthy, Mr. Borg and Mrs. Doner

Happy Saturday!

I sincerely hope everyone is staying well during these days away from all the things that we loved to do, but have had to put on pause for right now. Many of you are doing a terrific job with the enrichment activities for the week those being NewsELA, IXL, and reading for 30 minutes a day. I would love to get some updates on some of the books you are reading in this last week. Just send myself or Mr. Borg and email and tell us what you are reading, so we can share out some suggestions with your classmates. Even though we cannot go to the library there are still some ways to access books through on-line resources. Some famous celebrities are even doing some read alouds on various types of books.

I just wanted to remind everyone that the end of the card marking is Friday, March 27th. If you have any past work that you did not complete and would like to turn in for credit you may do so and Mr. Borg or myself will grade it and put it in the grade book. Many of you still have not done your SSR forms throughout the card marking. I would encourage you to complete those and turn those in for a grade. You can do them on a Google Doc and send them to us or you can take a picture and send them either way will work.

Stay safe and healthy,

Mrs. Doner

Wonderful Wednesday!

We spent a wonderful day at the zoo! The temperature was perfect and the sun came out for us in the afternoon. So happy we could spend the day in our outside classroom today. I hope a great time was had by all who experienced the day! I am very thankful for the math teachers who planned such a spectacular day and those who supported the students who chose to stay back today.

Enjoy your Wednesday evening,

Mrs. Doner
