Endangered Animal Poster

Students were shown videos and they look at information on the internet about  endangered animals and ecosystems. They were to choose a threatened or endangered animal to make a poster for to promote the dire situations these animals are in. Each poster featured a large picture of the animal in its environment along with with at least 5 facts about the animal, including it’s scientific latin designation. Students did a great job!

Artist biography presentation

For this project, 7th and 8th graders will create a Google slide presentation to recite to the class. This presentation will take a week of research and construction before reciting in class next week. Each student will get up in front of class to recite their 12-15 slide report. They should expect to be giving their report for approx. 5 minutes. There is one grade for the report, one grade for the recitation of the report. Projects are due Monday the 18th and must be uploaded to Google Classroom to be be accepted. The attached file is below with the criteria of the project. Good Luck students!

Comic Strips

In this project, students were to think about a short message or story they could draw out visually to create a comic strip. After writing dialog, they were to then create between 6 – 10 squares to divide the story into. Each square had to feature some dialog or action from the story. When complete, students have to color the comics in to make them more visually interesting and to help tell the story.

Character Design in 2D art

Here are some great results from our character design project. We have learned how to draw various characters and the methods to do so. From there, students had a week to come up with a character design of their own to be used in a story that we will be creating in class this week. Great Job everyone!
