Hello Families!

Last week we had a wonderful week at school! We practiced comparing two texts on the same topic as we learned more about insects and butterflies! We also practiced addition and subtraction using drawings. Our new addition strategy is to start with the first number(addend) and count on using the dots we drew for the second addend. (ex. 3+6=9) I would say 3 and start counting 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. In addition, we practiced informational writing as we labeled insects parts. We also created insects from toothpicks, pipe cleaners, and playdough. We will travel around the school and present these and our insect facts on Monday!

Here are some pictures from last week!
