Hello Kindergarten Families!
Happy 29th week of Kindergarten! I hope you all had a lovely three days off of school! I enjoyed time with my family. If you celebrated Easter today, I wish you Happy Easter and hope you had a beautiful holiday.
Last week we had so much fun with all of the egg-celent egg activities we did!
Each child had a hidden egg in the room with their name on it. They had to find their hidden egg. 🙂 We also went outside for a math egg hunt! We found eggs that had math problems on them to help us practice computation. We then made new math problems by interchanging the egg parts! We ended our day on Friday by being scientists with eggs! We made hypothesis and observed what would happen to our egg when we placed it in colored water. We had an egg-citing time! 🙂 Please see the pictures below.
Please help your child login to Clever to access MyOn. Here they have so many online books to choose from for reading. Many of the books are read aloud to them as they follow along! This is a super awesome resource to get your child reading more books. Daily homework is the following: 20 minutes on MobyMax and myOn, work from something in math bag, reading books from reading bag and practicing sight words. We are heading into the last weeks of kindergarten and end of the year assessment is just around the corner. Thank you!
Thursday, April 20th is our field trip to the Detroit Zoo! Your child must wear gym shoes and bring a bagged lunch with a drink. No pop, glass containers, or lunchboxes are allowed. Please label your child’s lunch bag with their name. We are looking forward to a super fun day learning about animals!
Monday, April 24th is a Kindergarten Parent Meeting at 9:00. Please sign in the office first. You will go to your child’s classroom for the meeting. Please plan in attending.

Review: eat little where New words: where what too
Math: We will practice non-standard measurement as we use various items such as cubes, paper clips, and other manipulatives to measure length and height of objects. We will use this information to compare objects based upon a certain measurable attribute. We will also take a computation test on addition and subtraction up to 5. Please practice math facts.
Here are some pics of the non-standard measurement we did with a tracing of our foot!
