1/27-1/31

This week: Our objectives this week are multiplying and dividing decimals. So far, we will be completing: Valentines Day Frog Plotting Points Review (Wednesday), CER on Multiplying Decimals (Thursday), Multiplying Decimals Face-ing Math (Friday), Khan Academy Multiplying Decimals (Friday). We will have a quiz on Multiplying Decimals at the end of the week.

Tuesday: Valentines’ Frog Plotting Points due TOMORROW. Students were given a half hour in class to work on it. Many students finished in class. Today in class we took notes on Dividing Decimals. Tomorrow in class we will practice dividing decimals. Feel free to practice on IXL tonight in preparation for tomorrow’s class. See you then!

Wednesday: Finish the Khan Academy assignments on Multiplying and Dividing Decimals.

Thursday: Be sure online Khan Academy Multiplying Decimals Assignments are completed- there will be a quiz tomorrow. The Khan Academy Decimals Assignments will be graded on Monday- be sure those are completed. The IXL assignments for Lesson 10 on the half sheet of paper should be completed by no later than Friday next week, when we will have the Lesson 10 Ready Quiz.

1/20-1/24

Please complete the two Khan Academy multiplying decimals assignments. The third one will not be due until Friday next week. Please be sure to show all of your work on paper. You make check your answers with a calculator before you submit, but the goal is to be able to solve the problems correctly without using a calculator.

1/13-1/17

Math NWEA this week!! (No new homework assignments- study instead!!) PLEASE TRY to study at least 30 minutes every night using your Khan Academy, IXL, USA TEST Prep, and any other resources to improve the areas that you feel need the most work. All students are aiming to increase by 10 points from their fall score! Good luck! Please go to bed early each night and eat a healthy breakfast every day this week!

1/6-1/10

This week: No additional assignments on the condition that students promise to study for 30 minutes in math and 30 minutes in language arts each night in preparation for the NWEA! 🙂 Please get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast every morning!

Friday: Practice Book pgs. 89-96 are the study guide for your Lesson 9 Quiz on Monday. If you choose to complete all of the pages neatly and accurately, you may hand them in on Monday for 5 points added to your quiz. Pages 95 & 96 #1-6 are mandatory. Students that do not complete the practice book pages are not eligible for retakes on the quiz. Enjoy your weekend! Please study for your Math NWEA that we will begin on Tuesday next week.
