Martian Marathon Run

Save the Date! Saturday, April 13th @ 12:00 pm.

Register today with Mrs. Masiarczyk

Running Club students have been running all year long in preparation for the Martian Marathon. The last 1.2 miles of the Martian Marathon takes place at Ford Field Park in Dearborn.  Our running club has been practicing each week to log a total of 25 miles so that we can finish our last 1.2 miles with all the other aliens running in this fun run. I hope all running club students will attend.

Hope to see you all there!

Welcome Back!

Hello,

I hope you all had a restful and fun summer break. I am well rested and happy to be back with you and your children. I am optimistic that we are going to have a great year.

I wanted to let our 4th and 5th grade parents and students know about an up coming event. The 7th annual Robert Cipriano Cross Country Run will be Monday, October 15th at Ford Field in Dearborn starting after 4:00 pm. I will be sending a note home to students who show an interest in participating in this 1 mile run/race with all the information you need. Ask your 4th or 5th grader about the run. It is a fun event. All Dearborn elementary and middle schools participate. I hope your child participates too. Please contact me if you need any further information.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Continue reading

Welcome Back!

Hello Parents and Student,

Welcome back! I am looking forward to a great year with you in physical education class. I hope your summer was filled with many memorable opportunities spent with family and friends. I can’t wait to hear about them.

Parents, in order to provide your child with the best possible experience, we must work as a team. Please remind your child to dress appropriately for PE class. Most importantly, they need a good pair of running shoes with rubber soles for comfort and safety. You will be notified of the day/days that your child has physical education class.

5th Annual Geer Park Food Drive

Geer Park students and families are caring and generous when it comes to helping others. This is the 5th year we have collected food to give to those in need. We are collecting nonperishable food items to donate to local charities in and around our community. Please consider donating. We have empty boxes located near the office where you or your child can drop off items. We will continue collecting through Tuesday, November 17th.

Thank you for your support.
