Letter of the Week

This weeks letter is B or b. B says buh like berry, bunny and basket. Here is another song about B.

Count how many letter B’s or b’s are in the sentence below and write B that many times.
Baby Bop bounced around to the boppin beat.

Math

Make sure to graph today’s weather. You should have graphed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s weather now. I challenge you to graph the weather on Friday, Saturday and Sunday too and then we can send pictures of our weather graphs on Monday! Here is a video about weather.

Someone who studies the weather is a meteorologist. Here is a video of a girl who would like to be a meteorologist when she grows up…

Let’s Make a Rainbow

Experiment: Use a strip of paper towel, and color the bottom of it like a rainbow with markers.

Step 1:

Step 2:  Place it in water with the colors down

Step 3: Watch what happens!

Work Time

Turn off those screens and play with some toys, color, paint… anything you can think of!

Planning Time (5 minutes): Build your child’s ability to organize their time by having them make a “plan” with you about what they would like to play with.  Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).

Work Time (45-60 minutes): During work time kids play WITHOUT ELECTRONICS.  Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.

Clean Up (about 15 minutes):  Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing.

Recall Time (5 minutes): Build your child’s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask “tell me how you did that” or “what did you do next?”)

Story Time

Today we are going to re-read Elmer one more time. This is the third time you are hearing it so see if you can follow along.
