LANGUAGE ARTS:

Reading:

1. You should have read to chapter 15 by now so far. Your goal this week is to finish the book. You should still be reading at least 30 minutes a day. Be sure to answer your comprehension packet questions along the way. A kind reminder, you will be writing a compare and contrast paper on the book and the movie. As you read, making annotations (done on separate piece of blank paper) will REALLY help you complete your paper faster than if you don’t. Writing just a few things from each chapter will be extremely beneficial!

2. You will need to watch the full movie (Where the Red Fern Grows) and write your compare and contrast paper. There are many similarities and differences between the two, so using specific details are important. This is a 4-5 paragraph paper that is at or above 5th grade level. A note from your principals

Parents please keep your kids at home! 

During the mandated shut down, all school playgrounds & athletic fields, will be closed to the public.  If you are found on the property you will be asked to leave.  Please do stay at home!  Do not visit friends and family! Stay healthy and stay safe!

Food Available!

Dearborn Public Schools is offering free pickup lunch and breakfast for students while school is closed for the mandatory shut down over the next few weeks.

Families will be able to stop in and pick up a bag with both breakfast and lunch for each child in the family.  Pickups will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon at Fordson, Edsel Ford, Dearborn high school, McCollough-Unis, Salina Intermediate, and Woodworth Middle School.

Mondays, students will receive breakfast and lunch for Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesdays, students will receive breakfast and lunch for Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Fridays, students will receive breakfast and lunch for Friday Saturday and Sunday.

هذا القول المأثور المأخوذ من فيلم )ساحر أوز( جاء على لسان دوروثي عندما أدركت أنها لم تعد في أمان في منزل المزرعة الذي تملكه
في كانساس ، بل تم إلقاءها بشكل عشوائي في أرض أوز الغريبة . أتبدو لكم جملة مألوفة؟
لقد تم إلغاء العديد من الفعاليات والنشاطات الرئيسية. إغالق المطاعم والمراكز التجارية وغيرها من الشركات ؛ وأصبحت عبارات “التباعد
االجتماعي” و ” تسوية المنحنى أي إبطاء االنتشار” ) في علم األوبئة ، يشير المنحنى إلى العدد المتوقع للحاالت الجديدة خالل فترة زمنية.
إن فكرة تسطيح المنحنى هي تجنب االرتفاع السريع في عدد اإلصابات، وإعطاء الوقت لنظامنا الطبي بالقدرة على التعامل مع الحاالت
القادمة.( هي العبارات الشائعة اليوم. في أسبوع واحد فقط تغيرت عاداتنا اليومية وما زلنا نعتاد طريقة مختلفة في الحياة. من بين كل هذا
التغيير ، كان على األهالي إضافة دور المعلم إلى مسؤولياتهم األخرى. أود أن أشكر جميع األهالي على الدعم والكلمات اللطيفة التي تمت
مشاركتها معنا خالل األسبوع الماضي. نحن نقدر كل ما يفعله اآلباء لدعم طريقتنا الجديدة للتعلم خالل األسابيع المقبلة.
بالطبع ، لم يكن من الممكن إعطاء أي دروس على اإلنترنت ، أو فصول دراسية افتراضية ، أو التعلم عن بعد لوال الجهود المذهلة والعمل
المدهش الذي قام به معلمينا بين عشية وضحاها حولوا مدارسنا من خالل إنشاء الدروس ، ووضع الخطط ، ونقل الفصول الدراسية من
حدود الجدران األربعة إلى انفتاح اإلنترنت. ال يمكنني أن أشكرهم وأطري عليهم بما فيه الكفاية للعمل الرائع الذي قاموا به لضمان حصول
طالبنا على تجارب تعلم بناءة أثناء إغالق مبانينا.
قد ال تبدو العملية التعليمية متشابهة في كل مدرسة أو حتى كل صف ، ولكن الشيء المشترك هو العالقة التي يقيمها هؤالء المعلمون مع
طالبهم. قد يكون ذلك صعبًا من خالل شاشة الكمبيوتر ، ومع ذلك يقوم المعلمون بذلك. يفعلون ذلك من خالل مشاركة القصص الشخصية.
صور ومقاطع فيديو لحيواناتهم األليفة أو أطفالهم أو هواياتهم ؛ وعن طريق توضيح كيف يمكن أن يحدث التعلم في أي مكان وفي أي وقت.

جميعًا التحلي بالصبر لمعرفة ما إذا كانت جهودنا ستساعد على إبطاء انتشار هذا الفيروس. يجب علينا االستمرار في متابعة توصيات

مع زيادة عدد األشخاص الذين يتم اختبارهم لـ 19-COVID ، سيكون هناك على األرجح المزيد من الحاالت المبلغ عنها. الهدف من كل
عمليات اإلغالق واإللغاء هو منع الناس من التجمع في مجموعات كبيرة حتى ال ننشر فيروس كورونا 19-COVID .ليس إليقافه أو
معالجته أو إنهائه … فقط إبطائه. في غضون أسابيع قليلة ، يمكننا تقييم الوضع ، والنظر في التوصيات المقدمة من الوالية والمقاطعة ،
واستخدام هذه المعلومات المتاحة لنا التخاذ قرارات بشأن ما تبقى من العام الدراسي.

تتمتع إدارتنا بدعم مجلس التعليم المذهل وقد شاهدت بشكل مباشر القدرة الرائعة لهذا المجتمع على االلتقاء والتعاضد في وقت األزمات.
أعلم أنه من خالل عملنا جميعًا معًا ، والحفاظ على الهدوء ، والتحلي بالصبر ، سنساعد بعضنا البعض خالل هذا الوقت الصعب ونجتاز
هذه المحنة أقوى بكثير كمجتمع ووالية ، وأمة.
