Math Lesson 3
Please check your answers from lesson 2 – see how well you did! Take a moment to really reflect on how well this lesson went and how easy it was for you. There are questions EXACTLY like these on MSTEP. You will be asked to identify 3D shapes that have been opened up to lay flat like you see here. Your job will be to determine whether or not the flat design pattern CAN MAKE the 3D shape or not – this is called NET. See the following video for additional help with this.
Here is the helper for lesson 3 below. Just click on the link and view. Your templates for lessons are located in your Learn books (if you didn’t already know) Have fun making your shapes! Any questions, please reach out VIA REMIND
Math Lesson 2

How to submit your work
Weekly science and social studies assingments that have questions for you to answer can be submitted as ONE SINGLE document via GOOGLE DOCS. Please title your work with your name and the week. For example, Dana Kronk_HW week of 3/16_3/20. This will be of GREAT HELP.
You DO NOT need to copy all questions in your answers for science this week, you can simply indicate your answers by 1. a 2. b 3. c etc.
You WILL need to restate the questions you are answering for Social Studies as part of your answer. You can cut and paste the questions right into your document hitting ctrl + c, and ctrl + v (I believe you all know how to do this already).
Make sure that your answers are complete.
It is a requirement that you are keeping up with your work on a weekly basis and learning is a priority even when doing it remotely. Should you have any questions, please reach out via REMIND.
You will be graded on your work as EVERY SINGLE ASSIGNMENT receives a grade.
Together in learning, Mrs. Kronk

Reading – Where the Red Fern Grows with comprehension questions. Complete your books and continue to read for 30 minutes every day. Answer comprehension packet questions – this will be submitted when we return to school. The book and questions should be completed by 3/31. If you did not come pick up the book, you will need to go to the library to check one out, or purchase a copy through Amazon.
Be sure to take notes while you read (as annotations, as exceptional readers always do) as this will help you for your PAPER.
Writing – On April 1st, I will release the video for you to watch. You will be writing a Compare and Contrast paper comparing the book to the movie on Where the Red Fern Grows. This paper is a 4 paragraph paper with an intro, compare paragraph, contrast paragraph, and conclusion paragraph. Your body paragraphs will need to mention at least 3 similarities and 3 differences. That means your paragraphs will be considerable in length to ensure the details are all there. The paper will be due on GOOGLE DOCS 4/10. Remember to check indentations, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Proofread – does it make sense? Read it to a family member – do they understand what you are saying? Remember the rule: 11, 14, 12 for font size and also to use Times New Roman, or Arial font types.
Need help constructing a good compare and contrast paper? Sure you do! We all do! Forget how to correctly use transition statements? Need more help? View the following video for additional help and go be brilliant~
