LANGUAGE ARTS:
Reading:
1. You should have read to chapter 15 by now so far. Your goal this week is to finish the book. You should still be reading at least 30 minutes a day. Be sure to answer your comprehension packet questions along the way. A kind reminder, you will be writing a compare and contrast paper on the book and the movie. As you read, making annotations (done on separate piece of blank paper) will REALLY help you complete your paper faster than if you don’t. Writing just a few things from each chapter will be extremely beneficial!
2. You will need to watch the full movie (Where the Red Fern Grows) and write your compare and contrast paper. There are many similarities and differences between the two, so using specific details are important. This is a 4-5 paragraph paper that is at or above 5th grade level. Review the movie found at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=lzgFJU-iK7k&feature=emb_logo The movie is also available on Amazon Prime for anyone who is a Prime member.
The compare and contrast found here https://prezi.com/ezezjjkzsiui/where-the-red-fern-grows-comparecontrast/ is meant to help your write YOUR OWN paper. Do not copy other people’s work online.
Please use the guide below to help you draft your paper
3. Please refer to the rubric below to see how you will be graded.
Your draft is due on google docs by 4/5. Your FINAL typed paper is due 4/13 on google docs
