Remote Learning Parent Letter

Dear Parents,

It is imperative that you are checking Class Dojo daily as if your child was attending school regularly. Each teacher will post the daily assigned work on Class Dojo. We will be posting a list of links for online learning, as well as weekly spelling words.Your child should complete the regular weekly homework for spelling.

Attached is a calendar of activities that do not require any additional or online materials. Your child should complete these activities daily to continue their learning and progress during this closure. If possible, have your child complete all written activities from the calendar in a notebook and return it to school when we return. The 3 old math books that were sent home earlier this month (Modules 1-3) are also great additional resources that your child can be working on during this closure. Additionally, they should read for 20 minutes each day and practice online on Zearn and Exact Path as much as possible. We will be tracking your child’s progress on Zearn and Exact Path.

Your child has made great progress in every subject since the beginning of the year. We do not want any of their skills or knowledge to be lost during this unforeseen situation. Unfortunately, since this situation is preventing us from seeing your child in person, we must work as partners to continue their education. Please understand the importance of holding your child accountable for the expectations listed above.

Thank you for your flexibility and support in these unforeseen circumstances. Please continue to check Class Dojo frequently for any additional updates. We will work to keep you updated as new information is available. As always, reach out to us with any questions via Dojo.

Thank you,

First Grade Team
