Hi first graders! I hope you had an awesome day. Many of you e-mailed me today and I would love to hear from more of you. Here is my email address klanr@dearbornschools.org. I am posting a read aloud for Little Red Riding Hood. Try to read along with the narrator. After you read the book, you can do one of these activities: 1. Illustrate and write about the major events from the beginning, middle, and end. 2. Write the central message or lesson from the story. 3. Illustrate the setting and write to describe it. I am also posting a powerpoint with beginning blends where you have to choose the word to match the picture. Finally, I am posting a powerpoint where you have to choose the correct description of the story.

Hello first graders! Can you believe it snowed this morning? I hope you are all still getting outside a bit and staying safe. I miss all of your smiling faces and I hope to see you soon 🙂 I am posting a read aloud of a story that my parents used to read to me when I was a child, “WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE.” We are remembering how to describe characters and settings this week, so when you are done listening to the story, you can illustrate and write to describe the setting. I am also posting a powerpoint where you choose the answer that best describes the setting.
