Greetings, Friends & Families!
Poem of the week
First Snowflake
Snowflake,
snowflake,
blowing into town
like one, last,
summer’s-end
dandelion end,
or a cold little
raindrop
in her winter nightgown.

What was happening?
The explorers were very busy discovering all the magic about the letter of the week, the letter H. They have been working very hard in tracing, coloring, matching, sounding out, and identifying the letter H. Using construction papers, they made the letter H as a shape of a house. And “house” starts with the letter “H”.
To improve our reading comprehension, we used the book that has the title of “Sneezy the Snowman” by “Maureen Wright” to answer questions such as, “Who was the character in the story?”, “When did the story take place?”, “Where did the story take place?”, and “what was the story about?”. Here is a picture of the book.

In Math, we counted numbers, completed patterns, and learned about greater than/less than.
The explorers in room #107 started their first lesson in science. They started a new unit that focuses on “Animal & Plant Secrets”. The first lesson was about “Animals’ Needs: Food”. The explorers chose their favorite animal, glued its picture, wrote the name of the animal and what does it eat?
Here is “Sneezy The Snowman” read aloud:
