Today’s bellwork reviewed graphs of exponential functions and practice SAT questions.  For the remainder of the hour, we continued discussing evaluating log functions, changing from exponential to logarithmic form, and started talking about e, which is used to compute continuously compound interest. Attached below are today’s class materials.

Quiz #1 – Chapter 8 will be sometime this week or next week.

Today’s bellwork gave students practice for the SAT.  For the remainder of the hour, we continued practicing converting between exponential to logarithmic form, and solving exponential functions with growth and decay problems. Students worked on a practice sheet for logarithms. Attached below are today’s class materials.

Welcome back to a new semester!

Today’s bellwork reviewed exponential functions & growth/decay practice problems. For the remainder of the hour, we started discussing exponential functions and their graphs. Students were able to graph an exponential function on a graphing calculator and see what a & b does to the graph. Attached below are today’s class materials.
