Research has shown exercise and mood are linked. Even a little bit- a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes of stretching three times a day- can boost your outlook.

Hello Everyone,
Before we head off into the weekend:
The end of Marking Period #1 ends today. If you have any missing work, please complete/ submit it as soon as possible if you want it to count towards MP#1.
Let’s keep the lines of communication open between us if there are any concerns or questions.
Have a great weekend and enjoy yourselves safely and responsibly. Take time to take care of yourselves with good sleep, good food, and exercise.
Next week we will begin a basketball unit, so we’ll be looking forward towards that.
Otherwise, take care, be well, and message me if anything comes up.
Respectfully,
Mr. Hojnicki

Activity Tip:
Research has shown that 15 to 30 minutes of low- to moderate- intensity exercise, 3 times a week, eases anxiety, and the effects can kick in after a single session.

Nutrition Tip:
To feel more satisfied, aim for 25-30 grams of protein per meal. Some high-protein options: 3 ounce poultry (26 grams protein) 1 cup beans (16 grams), or 1 cup quinoa (8 grams).
Good Morning, Week of October 19th- 23rd:
Good morning everyone,
Hope that your week is off to a good start.
This week we have a B-A-B-A-B schedule. Make sure to keep up with your schedule and communicate with your teachers.
In my class, we had a Football Essay that was due yesterday Sunday October 18th by 10:00PM. Hopefully, you were able to complete this assignment on time. If not, communicate with me any issues.
This week we will take a quick break from sports and focus upon nutrition. More specifically, we will discuss and focus upon Proteins this week. We will discuss information regarding this topic during our Zoom meetings, so make sure that you attend.
Let’s stay positive, and have a great week!
Regards,
Mr. Hojnicki
Activity Tip:
Listening to music can help exercise feel easier, and even boost your speed. Songs with 120- 140 beats per minute appear to have the biggest motivating effect.
