The USDA recommends eating 2-3 cups of vegetables every day. Go beyond salads, and try adding vegetables to omelettes, smoothies, stir-fries, soups, pasta or dips.

Welcome Message for Week of October 12th- 16th
Good Morning,
Hoping that everyone had a great weekend and was able to enjoy the beautiful weather. Also, hope that you took some time for yourself to rest, relax, exercise, or at least un-plug for a bit.
This week we have an A-B-A-B-A schedule. Make sure to keep up with your schedule and be in communication with your teachers.
In my class, we had a Football Quiz that was due yesterday Sunday October 11th by 5PM. Hopefully, you were able to complete that assignment on time. If not, communicate with me any issues.
This week we will continue with our Football Unit and discuss Football skills required to play the sport. The focus will be on throwing/ passing a football and catching/ receiving a football.
I’ll see everyone during our Zoom meetings, so make sure that you attend.
Regards,
Mr. Hojnicki
End of Week Message (10/09):
Hello everyone,
Hope that you have a great weekend, and find some time to do something that you enjoy. Try to eat some healthy food, get some exercise, get outside, get some rest, or basically take care of yourself.
Just a reminder that your Football Quiz is due on Sunday October 11th by 5:00PM. Message me if there are any questions or complications.
I have updated all the grades, including the Exercise and Fitness Essay. Message me with any concerns.
Otherwise, take care and enjoy the weekend. We’ll get back to work on Monday.
Regards,
Mr Hojnicki
Sleep Tip:
Not getting enough rest? Sleep debt can increase your risk for weight gain, memory loss, diabetes, and heart disease. So, get some rest and rejuvenate your body!

Heart Health Tip:
Over time, regular exercise can strengthen your heart and lower your resting heart rate (RHR). Even modest reductions in RHR can reduce the risk of heart disease.
Have a healthy day!
