Thanksgiving Break Homework

Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Below is the homework that needs to be completed during the break.

 

Math – There are 6 quick worksheets to do over the break. Exit Tickets 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 (all stapled in a packet). Make sure students complete and bring back on Monday to turn in.

– 15-20 minutes every day on zearn.com or ilearn mathathon. (Log onto dearborn website, click for students, click on clever and click on ilearn icon, then click on mathathon icon- first grade)

 

Reading– Read for 15-20 minutes every day

– Websites: Clever, MobyMax, ABCya

– Book from home or reading bag

 

*Ask students to retell the stories they read.

First…. Then….Last / Beginning…. Middle….End

*Ask students to ask questions about their reading.

How? Why? What? Who? When? Where?

*Ask students to describe the characters.

Physical features and feelings / personality.

*Ask students to describe the setting.

 

Spelling – Practice everyday!

Tuesday- Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times

Wednesday – Write each spelling word one letter at a time, c ca cat.

Thursday – Write a sentence using one spelling word in each sentence. Make sure to include Capitals, spaces and punctuation.

Friday – Practice reading and writing your words.

Saturday & Sunday – Keep practicing for next week – Test on Friday!
