After singing Blowing In The Wind, we finished going over the Ch. 21 sec. 3 answers, including the Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia.

Thursday 4/24/2025

We finished discussing Ch. 21 sec. 1-2, including Selma Freedom March. The Ch. 21 sec. 3 questions were passed back and we began to go over the answers, including information on Malcolm X and the assignation of Martin Luther King.

Wednesday 4/23/2025

The Ch. 31 sec. 3-4 Questions were collected at the beginning of class. We reviewed the fascists, and then students completed the handout over the Weimer Republic and the Rise of Hitler. Students also completed the Ch. 31 sec. 3-4 Chart and we took a fake quiz over it.

Tuesday 4/22/2025

The Ch. 21 sec. 3 Questions were collected at the start of the hour. We continued to discuss the Ch. 21 sec. 1-2 answers, and then watched a video on Freedom Summer of 1964.

Monday 4/21/2025

We continued to discuss the Ch. 21 sec. 1-2 textbook questions, including the “children’s crusade“, George Wallace, and MLK’s “I Have A Dream” speech.

Thursday 4/17/2025

We continued to discuss the answers to CH. 21 sec. 1-2 textbook questions, including the topics of Rosa Parks, the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Emmett Till, and the Greensboro Sit-In.

Monday 4/14/2025

The Ch. 21 sec. 1-2 Questions were checked at the start of the hour, while students read over the primary and secondary sources on Levittown. We began to go through the answers to the Ch. 21 questions, including the Little Rock Nine.

Tuesday 4/8/2025

We discussed the Plessy v. Ferguson case, and then students were given time to work on the CH. 21 sec. 1-2 Textbook Questions.

Monday 4/7/2025

We finished going over the Ch. 20 sec. 2-3 Textbook Answers, including looking at Supreme Court cases like Mapp v. Ohio, Gideon v. Wainwright, and Miranda v. Arizona.

Friday 4/4/2025

The Ch. 20 sec. 2-3 Questions were checked at the start of the hour and then we began discussing the answers. We also began looking at important Supreme Court cases of the 1960s.
