We reviewed the basics of the Civil War and then students answered questions on a video over the Civil War.

Wednesday 1/29/2025

We discussed Thomas Edison’s inventions and watched some of the earliest motion pictures ever created. Students were then given time to work on the Ch. 26 sec. 4 Chart — due tomorrow.

Tuesday 1/28/2025

Students took the Ch. 25 Test.

Monday 1/27/2025

We finished discussing the CH. 25 sec. 4 Chart and the Ch. 25 sec. 4 Textbook Questions were passed back and discussed. *Ch. 25 Test tomorrow!*

Friday 1/24/2025

The Ch. 25 sec. 4 Textbook Questions were collected at the start of the hour. We reviewed the Luddites, as well as child labor, and then began to get into the reform movements of the 1800s. As a group, we began to complete the Ch. 25 sec. 4 Chart, along with the “-ISMS” Chart. Students also received the CH. 25 Study Guide.

Thursday 1/23/2025

We discussed child labor in the 1800s, including Mary Richard’s story from last week. We also went over the answers to the Ch. 25 sec. 1-3 Questions from last week. Students were then given time to work on the Ch. 25 sec. 4 Textbook Questions– due tomorrow.

Friday 1/17/2025

We discussed the Factory Life in New England primary source from yesterday and then finished yesterday’s video over Life In Victorian Times. Students were also given time to work on bio of child labor example Mary Richards.

Thursday 1/16/2025

We discussed the handout over the effects of the IR from yesterday, and than discussed the Life in a New England Factory document. We also began to watch a video over life in the Victorian Age.

Wednesday 1/15/2025

Yesterday’s Ch. 25 sec. 1-3 Questions were turned in at the start of the hour. Students completed their Urban Game cities, and then were given time to complete the Effects of the Industrial Revolution handout.

Tuesday 1/14/2025

We discussed the answers to yesterday’s handout on the IR beginning in England, and then discussed the Ch. 25 sec. 1+3 Chart. Students were then given time to work on the Ch. 25 sec. 1-3 Textbook Questions– due tomorrow.
