About Mrs. Hansen

I attended Wayne State University to receive my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I continued my education at Wayne State to receive a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science.

I can’t believe it, but this will be my 25th year of teaching! I started my career as a classroom teacher at Oakman Elementary School. In 2004 I switched to the school library media center. Currently I am working part-time at Oakman and McDonald Elementary Schools. The best part of my job is instilling the love of reading to the students, and teaching them how use information and technology!

I have been married for 23 years, and am a mom of three. I have an 17 year old son, an 17 year old daughter (twins), and a 15 year old daughter. I also have two wonderful parents and mother-in-law! I enjoy reading, traveling, sports (especially softball), and spending time with my children and husband.
