Week of 5/26-5/29

First, check out this Music in the Movies blog. Read about a couple of the composers and find the one you like the best. Next, you will need to go to YouTube and find a link to a song they have composed that you like. The google form this week will ask for some information about the composer, some movies they composed for, and a link to the song you liked. You can find the form here. Mrs. Lograsso can show you how to do this lesson and fill out the form in a video here

Music, PE, and Art will be doing one jumprope lesson. You can find everything you need here.

Week of 5/4-5/8

 This week, I’d like you to explore music from a different country. I found an excellent website called Folk Cloud that can help us listen all around the world. You can find it here. Please go on this website and spend some time exploring some countries that interest you. When you click on a country, there will be many songs to choose from. After clicking on the song, there will be a place to listen to it and read about the song, the artist, and the instruments used. When you find a folk song that you really like, fill out the google form about it here.

Week of 4/27-5/1

This week we are going to watch a Disney singalong together. You will be watching different songs then siblings in other grades, so you might enjoy watching each other’s. 🙂 We will watch three songs. You can watch it with me here. After you are done, please fill out the google form here. If you enjoyed the singalong and want to see more of it, you can find the rest here.

Week of 4/20-4/24

This week, we will be learning a hand clapping game called “Bim Bum”. Mrs. Lograsso will teach it to us here. After you are finished, try to do it with this silly video here. Let Mrs. Lograsso know you did this activity by answering the questions in a google form here.

Weeks 3/30-4/3 and 4/13-4/17

  1. Make sure you have your white, yellow, and orange belt completed! These must be submitted for a grade. If you have not already emailed a video of yourself playing them to Ms. Lograsso, please do so at lograsm@dearbornschools.org

  2. If you have already completed these belts, continue working through the packet. Send videos to me at lograsm@dearbornschools.org and I will give you feedback.
