Week of 5/26-5/29

I found this awesome website called Groove Pizza that I’d like you to check out. On this website, you can create beats using different percussion instruments. You can manipulate the rhythms and beats by using colors, shapes, and angles. Please make a beat that you enjoy. Once you’ve created a beat you are proud of, press share and press “download as audio”. Upload that file to the google form here. Watch Mrs. Lograsso’s tutorial for help here.

Week of 5/18-5/22

Music, PE, and Art will be doing one jumprope lesson. You can find everything you need here.

Week of 5/4-5/8

The San Francisco Orchestra has a very cool website where you can play games and learn about the orchestra. Mrs. Lograsso can give you a tutorial on how to explore the website here. Please explore the families of the orchestra. Keep the window open after you are exploring to answer the questions on the google form here.

Week of 4/20

This week, begin by watching Mrs. Lograsso read and discuss the book “Acoustic Rooster”. You can find the video here.

Each character in the book is based on a real-life jazz musician. Please go to YouTube and find a song by one of the musicians that you like. Think about why you like it. Fill out the form here to show me the song you found and tell me why you like it!

Here are the musicians from the story:

Thelonius Monk, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and Billy Holiday

Take a picture of yourself with your picture and email it to lograsm@dearbornschools.org or send it on Dojo!
